Supplementary Regulations for the Captains Trial

Castle Carr

Yorkshire Classic MCC will organise a Restricted trial for solo motorcycles, held under the Rules of the AMCA, the following Supplementary Regulations and any Final Instructions issued for the meeting. Please take the time to carefully read any specific Safety Procedures and Notes produced by Yorkshire Classic MCC which form part of the Supplementary Regulations. There will also be a Riders Briefing which all riders must attend ten minutes before the official start time.

ELIGIBILITY: All riders must be members of an AMCA affiliated club. This trial is restricted to traditional bikes of British manufacture.

DIRECTIONS:

From Skipton, Keighley - Through Denholme on A629 for Halifax, stay on A629 to traffic lights at top of Thornton Rd. Straight on through lights, (From Bradford turn left ). Take RIGHT turn into PER LANE at Cross Roads after Moorlands Inn on left. Take sharp RIGHT at bottom of hill onto Mill Lane, Keep on this road until you come to a Cross Roads, with Cross Roads Inn on your right. Turn RIGHT. Then at next junction Delvers Pub turn LEFT, proceed straight on this road to Castle Carr, Gate Houses, through arc and gate, and keep RIGHT at next junction on unmade road to start area.

From M62 - Leave at Junction 24 for Halifax A629, follow Keighley signs in Halifax, then take LEFT onto A58 at large roundabout with traffic lights, THEN IMMEDIATELY LEFT up to traffic lights, Right onto PELLON LANE. Pellon Lane becomes Pellon New Road becomes Moor End Road becomes Mount Tabor Road, Straight onto Cross Roads (with Inn on right ) Then LEFT at Delvers junction Proceed as others above. The nearest post code is HX2 7TN, this point is the farm yard at the start of Castle Carr road. The venue start point is approximately 3 miles west of this point along Castle Carr road.

ENTRY LIMIT: This trial has a limited entry of 120. In the event of the limit being exceeded, acceptance will be determined by Order of Payment. Entrants will be informed by email once payment is received and their entry is confirmed.
RESULTS: Will be published on the trialmonster.uk website
COURSE: Will comprise one or more laps of a course all on private land. No practising on this land before or after the event. The number of laps and sections will be announced at a riders’ briefing immediately before the event start.
SECTION MARKING AND SCORING: This trial will be a Non-Stop trial.

A machine will be deemed to be in the section when the front wheel has passed the Section Begins card and marks will be awarded until the front wheel has passed the Section Ends card. 0, 1, 2, 3, 5 system - Ties will be decided with the oldest rider taking precedence.

Championship trials 
Premier route - Red and blue flags
Clubman - Yellow and white flags to allow for deviations
Gentle route - Pink flags
Premier plus - Red and blue flags then green flag deviation

50/50 either Premier or Clubman Route which is shown at section start
